Al-Hilal 24-25 67-Year Anniversary Kit Released - Club Prohibited from Wearing Kit Due to Late Submission
- Kit Launch: Al-Hilal launched a special 67th-anniversary kit, meant to be worn on October 18th.
- Kit Prohibition: The league blocked Al-Hilal from wearing the anniversary kit due to late submission for approval.
- Consequences Avoided: Al-Hilal avoided penalties by wearing their standard home kit, despite the launch of their retro anniversary kit.
Update - 19 October 2024: Al Hilal's plan to wear the special 67th-anniversary kit in Friday's league match was blocked by the league, as the kit was submitted too late for approval.
According to league regulations, clubs must provide samples of all kits for players and goalkeepers within a specified timeframe before the season starts. Al Hilal failed to meet this deadline, leading to the rejection of their anniversary kit.
The league's strict rules state that any kit not submitted and approved in time cannot be worn during official matches. Had Al Hilal proceeded with the unapproved anniversary kit, they faced the risk of being declared losers in the match and received a fine of 100,000 Riyals. To avoid such severe penalties, the club opted to wear its approved standard 24-25 home kit instead.
It is not the first time that the Saudi Pro League and its teams are unprofessional. In the 2024-2025 season, the league introduced a new font that all teams were required to use, despite some objections. The league ultimately threatened penalties for non-compliance, and so all teams are using the league-wide font now.
Original Article - 17 October 2024: Al Hilal SFC officially launched its 67th-anniversary kit yesterday, exactly 67 years after the club's foundation, on 16 October 1957 (as the Olympic Club). It will be worn on Friday, 18 October 2024, against Al Feiha.
Al Hilal's new 24-25 retro kit recalls the look of the jerseys from Rivellino's time, who played for the club between 1978 and 1981.

Neymar to Retain Brazil No. 10 Shirt for 2026 World Cup
The debate over Brazil’s most iconic shirt number has been officially settled ahead of the 2026 World Cup. It has been confirmed that Neymar will retain the famous No. 10 jersey for the upcoming tournament in North America.
Following a lengthy period away from the national team due to injury, questions had naturally arisen regarding the future of the prestigious shirt. During Neymar's prolonged absence, the Brazilian No. 10 was shared among the squad's other attacking stars. Both Vinicius Junior and Raphinha have donned the historic number in recent international fixtures.
Despite their growing influence and status within the Seleção, both players have willingly stepped aside out of respect for the veteran forward. Highlighting the squad's unity on the matter, Vinicius Junior openly addressed the situation, stating clearly that the shirt "obviously belongs to Neymar."
Earlier rumors suggested that Neymar might adopt the No. 13 jersey.
Do you agree with the decision to keep Neymar in the No. 10 shirt, or was it time to pass it on to a younger player like Vinicius Junior? Let us know in the comments below.
