FC Basel has launched a unique new special edition kit that brilliantly captures the magic and mystery of Basel's iconic Fasnacht carnival. The Macron Basel 2024-2025 Carnival jersey maintains FCB's classic half-and-half design with rotblau (red and blue) colorway but elevates it with intricate white hand-drawn illustrations depicting famous Fasnacht characters across the lower portion of the shirt. Among the detailed carnival figures featured are "Alti Dante," "Waageclique," and "Tambourmajor" - all essential elements of Basel's famous celebration.
This design would be forbidden by UEFA rules
Oddly, this design with the differently colored sleeves would be forbidden by UEFA rules, as the shirt itself has no classic half-and-half design. It appears that the Swiss Super League allowed the design anyway.
What makes this design truly special is the attention to detail - every element has been treated as if hand-painted onto a Fasnacht lantern. From the Macron manufacturer logo to the Novartis sponsorship and even player names and numbers, each component has been styled in the traditional carnival artistic approach. The sleeves feature a playful "Schnitzelbangg" (carnival verse) that gently pokes fun at football.

Hanoi FC Uses Same Adidas Template as Mercedes F1 Shirt
Vietnamese V.League 1 side Hanoi FC and Adidas have unveiled the first kits from their new partnership, with the design immediately sparking discussion over its unusual short Three Stripes layout across the shoulders.
The shirt uses a new Adidas template with short 3-Stripes on the shoulders and a classic crew neck, a design primarily seen on takedown jersey (fan version). The same template is also used by Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1, including the team's latest “Vanda Bloom” collection. The purple colourway closely matches Hanoi FC's traditional identity.
The shirt uses a mixed construction: the body features standard Adidas Climacool fabric, while the sleeves use Player-version material.
What do you think of adidas using the same template for Hanoi FC and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

The Joma CD Toledo 2026-27 home jersey offers a classic and refined aesthetic, centered around the club's traditional rich green colorway. It features a sharp white polo collar and matching white sleeve cuffs, both enhanced with intricate subtle detailing along the edges. The shirt is complemented by white Joma branding, the club's crest on the left chest, and the La Sagra 0.0 sponsor on the front.
The launch of the green home strip rounds out CD Toledo's 26-27 kit set, following the earlier reveals of their black and gold pinstriped away kit and a 1990s-inspired gray third kit.
Aston Villa Announce 8Xbet as Official Asian Betting Partner
Aston Villa have officially confirmed online sportsbook operator 8Xbet as the club's Official Betting Partner in Asia. The regional partnership aims to bolster the Premier League side's commercial reach across the Far East through localized digital campaigns, fan engagement activations, and branded assets.
The agreement follows Aston Villa's recent pre-season tour across Asia and replaces their previous regional collaboration with NOVA88. 8Xbet is already well known within English football, having previously secured regional Asian betting partnerships with clubs such as Manchester City and Chelsea.
As Premier League regulations place tighter restrictions on front-of-shirt gambling sponsorships in the domestic UK market, clubs increasingly look toward geo-targeted overseas partnerships to maintain commercial revenue in Asian territories.
