The Hummel Sunderland 25-26 away football shirt reimagines the club’s iconic 1989-91 away jersey, famously worn by Marco Gabbiadini and Eric Gates. It comes in a rich blue base with a tonal checkerboard pattern woven throughout the fabric - a visual tribute to Sunderland’s maritime roots.

The bespoke design is inspired by the view of Roker Beach’s lighthouse through the ‘C’ Sculpture, celebrating the city’s deep connection to the sea. A red and white V-neck collar adds a classic touch, echoing the club's primary colors.

On the back of the neck, the Hummel Sunderland 2025-26 away football shirt features the words ‘City by the Sea’, while the inner collar includes poetic lyrics from The Lake Poets: “Yes, I come from a city by the sea / and its shores and its waters / have become a part of me”.

Instead of the modern logo, Hummel uses the classic Sunderland AFC 1963-1972 ship crest is situated in its traditional place on the left chest.

A smart V-neck collar is used, detailed with white and red trim – classic Sunderland accent colours. The new main sponsor, "W88", is displayed centrally on the chest in white.
