Swiss Club YF Juventus Plays in Barcelona Kits - With Logos Covered

YF Juventus from Zurich caused a stir in the Swiss 1. Liga Classic (4th division) as they took the field against FC Baden wearing Barcelona’s 2022-23 third shirts – with the Barça crest covered by their own badge. Despite the unusual look, the team went on to win 2-1.

The choice of kit sparked speculation about financial issues, but assistant coach Sebastian Bauert quickly clarified: “No, my father just likes the shirts. He’s a big Barça fan.” Sport director Piero Bauert has long shown his admiration for the Catalans, even previously appearing in their tracksuits.

YF Juventus wore the fan version of the kit, not the expensive authentic one. YF Juventus's regular design features black and white stripes, like those worn by the famous Juventus team, which gave the club its name.

For Juventus Zurich’ fans, the move wasn’t new, as the club had already used the shirts before, but no media outlet noticed back then. The players also wear Barcelona training gear, while their official home kit this season is orange - a color also linked to Barça’s palette.

For some players, the attached crest came off.
