The Adidas Rapids 2026 home jersey breaks tradition by not featuring the team’s usual maroon base. Instead, it introduces a bold new look in black with Light Sky accents.

For their 30th MLS anniversary (founded in 1995, debuting in 1996), the team subverts the idea of “colorful” by opting for a clean, dark canvas, punctuated with pops of color inspired by past club palettes.

While the club used black as part of their 2001 third shirt (made by Kappa), it has never been seen on a home shirt. Between 2003 and 2006, the Rapids’ home kits featured white and blue stripes, making the 2026 design another big departure from tradition.
