Freiburg 26-27 Home & Third Kits Released
- New Kit Release: Nike and SC Freiburg have unveiled their new home and third kits for the 2026-2027 Bundesliga season, which became available for purchase on July 3.
- Home Kit Controversy: The new SC Freiburg home kit has generated fan disappointment because its red and white striped design is an identical copy-paste of the Besiktas 26-27 away kit, both inspired by the Nike Barcelona 2011-12 template.
- Third Kit Design: In contrast, the SC Freiburg 26-27 third kit features a more unique and bespoke dark aesthetic, transitioning from black to deep burgundy and maroon via a fine dot gradient pattern with white branding.
Nike and SC Freiburg have officially launched the club's new home and third kits for the 2026-2027 Bundesliga season.
However, the launch has quickly stirred up disappointment among fans. Nike has come under fire for delivering a home kit design that is completely identical to another recent release.

The new Nike SC Freiburg 26-27 home kit features the club's traditional red and white vertical stripes. The stripes utilize a distinct offset, line-shifting aesthetic.
The Sport-Club Freiburg 26-27 home jersey is paired with solid red raglan sleeves and a matching red collar. The Swoosh is applied in black, while the main Lexware sponsor logo sits across the center inside its usual black box.
The main source of frustration for supporters is that this exact stripe pattern is an identical copy-paste design of the newly launched Besiktas 26-27 away kit, simply swapped into red and white. Both kits draw direct inspiration from the iconic Nike Barcelona 2011-12 home kit template.
The back of the jersey is predominantly solid red across the top and shoulders, with the striped pattern returning on the lower section. A small white griffin from the club crest is placed on the upper back neck.

In contrast to the controversial home shirt, the Nike SC Freiburg 26-27 third kit offers a much more bespoke and stealthy look.
The jersey features a dark base that starts as solid black at the top and shoulders, then elegantly transitions into a deep burgundy and maroon tone toward the bottom via a fine dot gradient pattern.
To contrast against the dark gradient base, all branding on the front is executed in clean white. This includes a monochrome white SC Freiburg crest and a white Nike Swoosh.

Both of the new Nike SC Freiburg 2026-27 home and third kits are officially available to purchase starting today, July 3.
