We can reveal corrected and updated information regarding the FC Bayern München 2027-28 home shirt. Contrary to our early leaks from several months ago, the senior team will not be sporting a purple-accented home kit after all.
Bayern München 27-28 Home Kit
The Adidas FC Bayern München 27-28 home jersey is set to feature a red that is a little bit darker than the club's classic bright red - a red with a touch of maroon. Rather than a plain finish, the shirt will incorporate a distinctive diamond pattern throughout the fabric, drawing inspiration from the Bavarian club's traditional heritage and the iconic diamonds of the club crest.
Earlier in 2026, our initial info indicated that Adidas would introduce purple accents to the Bayern home shirt for the very first time. However, the latest updates confirm that the first-team home shirt will remain much more aligned with classic shades, centering around active maroon. Fans who were intrigued by the purple and red concept will still see it hit the market. The purple/red kit and its accompanying collection are set to be released exclusively as a Kids collection, with specific product details to be confirmed closer to the launch. No match kit, probably.
Diamonds are a regular feature of Bayern München kits, last seen in the 2019-2020 season and, for us, best executed in 2013-14.
