An early leaked design caused plenty of backlash last year, but the club has since stressed this is meant to be an evolution of the crest, not a full reinvention, and all three of the new options keep the core elements fans would expect: the striped shield, the twin seahorses, the castle turret topped by a lion holding the flag, and the sky-blue ribbon bearing the club name.
The Three Options for the new Newcastle United Crest

Eligible supporters - season ticket holders, Mags and Mags+ members, and fans who attended multiple women's fixtures at Gateshead International Stadium in 2025/26 - are being asked to pick their preferred design as part of the club's official poll. Newcastle have promised full transparency throughout the process, with the winning design expected to be confirmed before it eventually replaces the current crest.
