Adidas World Cup 2026 Kit Sales Quadruple 2022 Figures
Adidas expects total merchandise revenue for World Cup 2026 to reach around €1.5 billion, according to a statement by CEO Björn Gulden (61). This includes all merchandise such as sportswear, balls, shoes, and related accessories.
Adidas described the World Cup final as a "moment of pride" for the company but declined to comment on the sales forecast.
Staggering Sales Figures for Germany's Final Adidas Kits
The impending split between the German Football Association (DFB) and Adidas in favor of Nike starting in 2027 has not deterred fans from purchasing the national team's apparel. Over three million Germany jerseys were sold during the 2026 World Cup, an impressive threefold increase compared to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The looming change in supplier seems to have only heightened the appeal of acquiring what will be the final Adidas World Cup shirts for the German national team.
According to Adidas CEO Björn Gulden, the traditional white Germany home jersey outsold the blue away kit over the course of the tournament.
