LEAKED: FIFA to Use Different Sleeve Badges for Every Round of 2026 World Cup
A newly leaked internal document has revealed a massive and highly controversial change to the kit regulations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. According to the leaked presentation slide, national teams will not wear a single, static social campaign badge on their left sleeve throughout the tournament. Instead, FIFA is planning to introduce a completely different sleeve patch for almost every single matchday and knockout round, creating an unprecedented rotating visual identity for the upcoming competition in North America.
2026 World Cup Left Sleeve Badge - Different in Every Round
The leaked timeline details a highly specific schedule for these changing left-sleeve badges. During the three group stage matches, teams will wear varying colorways of a "Unite for Peace" patch. For the newly introduced Round of 32 and the Final, the patch switches to the standard "Football Unites the World" branding. Meanwhile, the Round of 16, Quarter-Finals, and Semi-Finals will feature a "Unite for Education" badge, with the background color changing from white, to navy, to purple as the rounds progress.
The right badge, the actual World Cup sleeve badge, will not rotate, but is available in four different variants. Captain's armbands will also not rotate, but are available in three different colors.
This revelation spells an absolute nightmare for football shirt collectors and fans who value historical accuracy. With retail availability of the standard World Cup badges already proving to be a highly restrictive and frustrating disaster, the prospect of needing eight different left-sleeve patches to accurately recreate a specific match-worn shirt is daunting.
These round-specific campaign badges are not available to the public yet, and they might will remain exclusive to the players on the pitch.

The standout of the release is the eye-catching away shirt, which boasts a vibrant mint green base. The front of the jersey is defined by a thick, solid black central vertical stripe, perfectly flanked by thinner black pinstripes running down the length of the torso. A clean white crew-neck collar and matching white Nike Swoosh add a crisp contrast to the design. The home kit is bright orange.
Neymar to Retain Brazil No. 10 Shirt for 2026 World Cup
The debate over Brazil’s most iconic shirt number has been officially settled ahead of the 2026 World Cup. It has been confirmed that Neymar will retain the famous No. 10 jersey for the upcoming tournament in North America.
Following a lengthy period away from the national team due to injury, questions had naturally arisen regarding the future of the prestigious shirt. During Neymar's prolonged absence, the Brazilian No. 10 was shared among the squad's other attacking stars. Both Vinicius Junior and Raphinha have donned the historic number in recent international fixtures.
Despite their growing influence and status within the Seleção, both players have willingly stepped aside out of respect for the veteran forward. Highlighting the squad's unity on the matter, Vinicius Junior openly addressed the situation, stating clearly that the shirt "obviously belongs to Neymar."
Earlier rumors suggested that Neymar might adopt the No. 13 jersey.
Do you agree with the decision to keep Neymar in the No. 10 shirt, or was it time to pass it on to a younger player like Vinicius Junior? Let us know in the comments below.
