- Logo Design and Origin: The new "Nike Football" logo, first unveiled in summer 2025 in collaboration with ILOVEDUST, is a modernized design that reimagines the iconic Nike shield logo from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
- Application Strategy: The logo will initially be introduced on training and off-pitch ranges from 2027, with the possibility of appearing on official match kits in the more distant future.
One years after its initial unveiling, Nike is preparing to officially roll out the revamped "Nike Football" logo onto commercial products. Beginning in 2027, the American sportswear giant plans to feature this refreshed visual identity across performance football apparel, signaling a nostalgic yet modern shift in the brand's aesthetic.
Nike to Use "Nike Football" Logo From 2027
The new "Nike Football" logo and its broader visual identity were first revealed in summer 2025 as part of a comprehensive rebranding campaign created in collaboration with the renowned creative studio ILOVEDUST.
The emblem serves as a direct reimagining of the iconic Nike shield logo from the late 1990s and early 2000s - a period universally celebrated as the golden era of Nike Football.
The updated design deconstructs the classic triangular shield into sharp, dynamic geometric segments around the Swoosh, creating an edgy, contemporary look tailored for modern sportswear.
Training Collections First, Match Kits to Follow?
According to our exclusive information, Nike will initially introduce the logo across training and off-pitch ranges rather than main match shirts. From 2027, fans can expect to see the modernized shield emblem applied to items such as pre-match tops, training shirts, anthem jackets, and lifestyle capsules across Nike's elite football roster.
Official match kits will likely stick to the classic standalone Swoosh during the initial rollout phase. However, Nike has not ruled out taking the rebrand a step further; the brand could eventually place the “Nike Football” shield logo directly on club and national team kits in the more distant future, potentially within the next 2–3 years.
What do you think of Nike bringing back the modernized shield logo to its football apparel in 2027? Would you like to see this emblem make its way onto official match kits in the future? Let us know in the comments below.
Emiliano Martinez Takes Chelsea's Number 1 Shirt
Emi Martinez has officially switched from No. 26 to No. 1 at Chelsea after just one match. The Argentine goalkeeper wore No. 26 in Chelsea's 4-3 win over Brighton.
With Robert Sanchez joining Como on loan, the No. 1 shirt became available, allowing Martínez to make the switch. Chelsea is now the third professional club where Martinez has worn No. 1, following Getafe and Aston Villa.
In a nice gesture to supporters who had already purchased his previous shirt, Martinez will sign all official “Martinez 26” jerseys bought through Chelsea's Megastore or official website. Fans can bring their shirt and proof of purchase to Stamford Bridge before October 4.

Leicester City 26-27 Away Retro Collection Released
Expanding on their retro-inspired aesthetic for the season, Leicester City and Adidas have officially dropped a new lifestyle apparel collection under the Adidas Originals banner. Following the popular launch of their Trefoil away shirt earlier this summer, the latest range focuses on timeless club heritage infused with classic Three Stripes street style.
The standout piece of the collection is a royal blue long-sleeve jersey adorned with an intricate all-over diagonal jacquard pattern. Much like the 26-27 away kit, the piece prominently features the iconic Adidas Trefoil alongside Leicester's nostalgic 'Running Fox' crest, which famously adorned the club's shirts until 1992. Matching royal blue three stripes run down the shoulders and sleeves to complete the vintage look.
Alongside the long-sleeve shirt, the collection includes an archival blue t-shirt with a bold white chest stripe, classic track jackets, hoodies, and matching track pants. The full Leicester City x Adidas Originals range is available now at the club's official online store and the Foxes Fanstore at King Power Stadium.
