New Nike Magista 2014 Boot Released! CTR Dropped
The new Nike Magista Boot was released today! Check out also the leaked Nike Mercurial Vapor X Boot. Nike announced the release of the Nike Magista Boot one week ago.
In fact the Nike CTR silo will be replaced by the new Nike Magista silo after just five years and three generations. The first rumours about a new Nike Magista silo appeared in early October, when Nike registered the name Magista for football related products.
Nike Magista Boot Volt / Hyper Punch / Black
This is the new Nike Magista 2014 Boot, which is also a Nike World Cup Boot.
The new Nike Magista Boot features a striking high-top boot design with a lightweight perforated sockliner, which is something similar we had seen before as part of a American Football cleats.
The best version of the Nike Magista Boot will be called Nike Magista Obra (275 Euro, 220 GBP, 300 USD), while the second best version is called Nike Magista Opus (200 Euro, 220 USD), the third best version Nike Magista Orden (110 Euro), the second cheapest boot Magista Onda and the cheapest Magista Ola.
The Nike Magista Boot comes without the usual tongue to provide a glove like fit. More can be seen in the picture below.
The upper of the new Nike Magista Boot is made from two layers with a similar style as honeycombs: The inner knitted Nike FlyKnit layer of the Nike Magista Boot (red / black) molds around the foot to create a sock-like fit, while the outer yellow layer is made from NikeSkin and comes with holes to offer touch, control and lightweight. The inner FlyKnit layer features a similar style as the Adidas Primeknit boot.
The yellow / pink colorway of the Nike Magista Cleat is the new 2014 World Cup Boot and features similar elements as the other Nike June 2014 Colorways. On the heel the boot comes with the Magista logo, something similar we also saw on the Nike Tiempo Legend V Boot.
The insole of the Nike Magista Boot is pink with the lettering magista on it. The compressed Nylon and Pebax outsole of the new Nike Magista Boot looks similar to the one used for the Nike Hypervenom and is made for agility and traction.
Special Detail on the FA Community Shield Sleeve Patch
The sleeve patch worn during recent 2026 FA Community Shield match featured a unique, customized touch: the ribbon running across the shield was split into red and sky blue, representing the primary colors of Arsenal and Manchester City.
This bespoke ribbon colorway tradition first debuted at the 2015 FA Community Shield in the clash between Arsenal and Chelsea.
The only exceptions to this colored-ribbon tradition occurred in 2020 (Arsenal vs. Liverpool) and 2025 (Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool), where the ribbons on the patch were rendered in neutral white. This adjustment is believed to be the FA's standard protocol to maintain visual balance when both competing clubs share the same primary kit color (red).
Another unique scenario took place in 2021. Even though Manchester City wore their away kit against Leicester City, the patch still featured both clubs' traditional home colors. This was possible because City’s sky blue and Leicester’s royal blue possess distinguishable shades.

Gianluigi Donnarumma Prefers Replica Kits
During the 2026 FA Community Shield, Gianluigi Donnarumma was once again spotted wearing a replica jersey on the pitch rather than an authentic player-issue shirt. Details such as the embroidered crest and the standard dryCELL branding confirmed his kit choice.
This marks the second consecutive season since joining Manchester City that the Italian goalkeeper has opted for the replica version. The reason stems from Puma's player-issue shirts featuring a tighter, more athletic cut, whereas Donnarumma prefers a looser, roomier fit for maximum comfort and freedom of movement.

Rodri to Wear Number 16 at FC Barcelona
Incoming FC Barcelona signing Rodri is set to wear his trademark number 16 jersey following his big-money switch from Manchester City. The Spanish international midfielder has built an iconic association with the number throughout his career at club level with Manchester City and on the international stage with Spain.
The number 16 shirt had previously belonged to young midfielder Fermín López. Following direct conversations between the players, Fermín has agreed to vacate the number and switch to the number 7 shirt, allowing Rodri to take his favored jersey ahead of the 26-27 season.
