Nike Mercurial Vapor IX 02 Mercurial Boot Unveiled

Nike today unveiled the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX 02 Mercurial Boot as the second of four World Cup inspired Mercurial Boots. The first Nike Mercurial Vapor 98 M Football Boot was unveiled in December.

Nike will unveil the Nike Mercurial Vapor X ahead of the 2014 World Cup, which feature some stunning new technologies like included sockliners and the Nike Flywire technology.

The Nike Mercurial Vapor IX 02M Boot comes with the same colors as the famous Nike Mercurial Vapor I Ronaldo Boot, worn in the 2002 World Cup final. The Mercurial Vapor IX 2002 Boot is mainly silver with a black Nike Swoosh and 02M lettering, while the Nike branding on the inner side of the boot will be garish yellow.

The upper color used for the Mercurial is really shiny compared to other Nike Mercurial Vapor IX Boots. Additionally, the outsole comes with volt studs as well as a transparent material, which makes the carbon fiber sole more viewable.

The remarkable wave design of the original Nike Mercurial Boot will feature on the Nike lettering on the inner side of the boot with the same method as it was done for the 98 Mercurial Vapor IX Boot.
