Japan extends Adidas Kit Deal

The Japan Football Association has agreed a new long-term contract with Adidas, which will see the German giant kit out Japan National Football Teams. Adidas has been the official Japan National Team Kit Supplier since 1999, while the new Adidas Japan FA Jersey Deal will start in January 2015.

Japan FA extends Adidas Kit Until 2022

Adidas has agreed in principle with the Japan Football Association that they will be the Japan National Football Team Supplier for eight years from January 2015.

"As the president of Adidas Japan K.K.," said Paul Hardisty, "I am very pleased that we forged a partnership with the Japan Football Association, which will mark another step forward for Japanese football. Our partnership with JFA has been continuing for a long term and it’s very special for us. It started in the 1960s and we became their official supplier in 1999."

The new Japan Adidas Kit Deal includes the kits for the Samurai Blue (Mens Japan National Football Team) as well as the football shirts for the Japan Women's National Team.

The new contract with the Japan FA allows Adidas to produce Japan Kits for the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. No financial details were announced yet.

FC Luzern 2026-27 Away Kit Released

The new FC Luzern 2026-27 away kit has been officially released. Made by Erreà, the shirt will be worn during the club's 26-27 Swiss Super League campaign and follows the release of their 125th-anniversary home kit earlier in May.

The Erreà FC Luzern 2026-27 away shirt draws inspiration from one of the city's most representative architectural landmarks, the Jesuit Church. It features a sophisticated tone-on-tone ornamental pattern that runs discreetly across the fabric. A striking blue vertical stripe, enhanced by a subtle golden trim, runs down the center of the shirt, paying homage to the club's traditional colors and adding a touch of elegance to the overall design.

The new Erreà FC Luzern 2026-27 away jersey successfully connects the club's local heritage with a contemporary aesthetic. The kit is currently available to purchase through the official club store.

In Argentina's opening match against Algeria at the 2026 World Cup, which has just concluded, goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez wore a special "Golden Gloves" patch honoring the Golden Glove award he achieved at the 2022 World Cup.

Even more interestingly, this special patch was placed on his left sleeve rather than his right sleeve, unlike the special commemorative patches worn by other players who have earned similar honors.
