New Balance 2015 Football Boots Leaked - Tech Info, Release Date, Players
First New Balance 2015 Football Boot Colorways Leaked! New Balance is set to enter the football market with a blue boot launch colorway, after it emerged that Warrior Football will be rebranded as New Balance.
UPDATE January 18, 2015: Aaron Ramsey to debut White / Orange / Black New Balance 2015 Football Boots against Manchester City
In the last weeks, Aaron Ramsey, Samir Nasri and Fellaini have laced up in the first branded New Balance Football Boots, while Ramsey and Nasri scored the first Champions League goals for New Balance in early December. Various players will wear New Balance Boots from 2015.
New pictures by @yunalaska reveal a detailed look at the 2015 New Balance Soccer Boots. The first blue 2015 New Balance Boot features an external heel counter and a special mesh heel area for a more stability. The outsole of the new New Balance Football Boots comes with the NB logo and has a similar studs alignment as the Adidas F50 Adizero.
First New Balance Boots Colorways
These are the inaugural 2015 New Balance Football Boot Colorways.
The most remarkable element of the first 2015 New Balance is the honeycomb upper structure. The upper looks similar to Nike's Hypervenom Phantom NikeSkin. New Balance had already used a similar upper material for the Minimus Road Zero Running Shoe in 2011. The lettering New Balance is printed on the instep, while the NB logo is placed on the heel of the first 2015 New Balance Football Shoe.
The two-layer mesh upper of the first New Balance Soccer Cleat is made for a soft and flexible fit, while being extremely light for a barefoot like feel. A honeycomb structure is expected to provide better ball control in wet and dry conditions. Albeit the forefoot area of the New Balance is flexible, the heel area of 2015 New Balance features a stiffer synthetic material for more stability.
New Balance uses an asymmetrical lacing system for a larger striking zone, whereas the tongue and heel feature holes for better breathability.
New Balance Soccer Boot Colorways
While New Balance players Fellaini and Ramsey currently still wear traditional black and white New Balance Boots, New Balance will unveil a more colorful launch boot colorway.
The first New Balance 2015 Soccer Boot Colorways will be royal blue with white and orange applications, while New Balance will also unveil a Navy / Turquoise launch colorway.

New Balance is ready to enter the football market very soon. After Aaron Ramsey played with mystery whiteout boots for the past few weeks, New Balance recently added the eye-catching N branding on the outstep of the whiteout boot to increase the hype ahead of the launch of the first 2015 New Balance Boot in the New Year.
It is expected that New Balance will launch the first New Balance Football Boot in early 2015. After Vincent Kompany also laced up in the first New Balance Boots, it is expected that the first 2015 New Balance Boot is designed for different types of football players (Defenders, Midfielders, Strikers).
Who will wear New Balance Soccer Cleats
Naturally, former Warrior players such as Vincent Kompany and Marouane Fellaini lace up in New Balance Boots. Aaron Ramsey, Adnan Januzaj, Samir Nasri and Alvaro Negredo are also set to join New Balance when the US giant takes over from Warrior.
Puma Kits Keep Ripping at the 2026 World Cup
Puma is facing significant criticism at the 2026 World Cup as multiple national team jerseys have easily ripped during matches.
Incidents involving players from Czechia, Morocco, Egypt, and Paraguay have highlighted an ongoing durability issue with the brand's latest kits - every torn shirt in the tournament so far belongs to a Puma-sponsored team.
The Puma 2026 World Cup kits incorporate the latest version of PUMA's ULTRAWEAVE “Thermoadapt” technology, which obviously is not tear-resistant enough.
The recurring wardrobe malfunctions have resulted in terrible PR for the German sportswear manufacturer and even prompted the viral resurgence of Xherdan Shaqiri's infamous quote from Euro 2016, where he joked that he hopes Puma does not produce condoms.

FIFA Denies Guillermo Ochoa 2026 World Cup Legacy Patch Over Appearance Rules
Guillermo Ochoa has been denied the chance to wear FIFA's new legacy patch at the 2026 World Cup. Despite being selected for six World Cup tournaments spanning from 2006 to 2026, the Mexican goalkeeper does not meet the strict criteria set by FIFA. The governing body requires players to have made on-pitch appearances in at least five different World Cups to qualify for the special badge.
Ochoa did not play any minutes during the 2006 and 2010 tournaments, meaning he has only registered on-pitch appearances in three World Cups prior to the 2026 edition. Because of this, FIFA officially refused to award him the patch. Other veterans playing in the tournament, such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric, Manuel Neuer, and Yuto Nagatomo, have received the legacy patch for meeting the five-tournament appearance threshold.
The Mexican Football Federation is reportedly planning to push for a reconsideration of the ruling. If Ochoa features in a match during the 2026 tournament, the federation intends to appeal FIFA's decision in hopes of securing the legacy patch for the veteran goalkeeper.
