With the much-awaited Nike Tiempo Legend V Ronaldinho football boots dropping in just over 24 hours, let's take a look at the boot that started it all, the original Nike Air Legend Tiempo Ronaldinho.

Nike Air Legend Tiempo Ronaldinho (2005)

This is the original Nike Air Legend Tiempo Ronaldinho boot, unveiled with the iconic "Crossbar" video.

Just like its reinterpretation, the first Nike Ronaldinho signature cleat is white with touches of gold on the upper and sole plate. Both the medial and lateral swooshes are colored golden, while the fold-over tongue also boasts the color, rounded off with Ronaldinho's shirt number 10.

A nod to Ronaldinho's national team glories, Brazil's World Cup win commemorating stars are present in the heel area of the white and gold Nike Air Legend Tiempo 10R boots, which are largely based on the standard Nike Air Legend cleats, originally launched in 2005.

Ronaldinho received his first signature boots in 2005, on the back of two successful seasons at Barcelona. On August 25, 2005, Nike released the well-known "Crossbar" video, in which Ronaldinho tries on his new boots for the first time and famously hits the crossbar multiple times in a row, which went on to become the first-ever YouTube video to collect a 1 million views.

Nike released a number of other Ronaldinho signature soccer boots in the following years, but the simplistic magic of the first edition, worn during the Champions League winning 2005-06 campaign, which included a brilliant 3-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu, with all goals from Ronaldinho himself, was never quite found again.
