FC Barcelona Kit to Feature New Badges as Five-Time Winners of the Champions League

2014-15 UEFA Champions League winners FC Barcelona will wear two new badges in the upcoming Champions League season to identify the Blaugranas as the current Champions League holders.

On June 6 in the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Barca won the Champions League for the fifth time in the club history after the Catalan club already gained the prestigious title in 1992, 2006, 2009 and 2011.

FC Barcelona 2015-16 Champions League Kits To Feature Two New Badges

This is the badge to honor Barcelona's 2015 Champions League title.

The first new insignia is the logo of the European Cup with a 2015 in the center on the right sleeve. Real Madrid sported the 2014 European Cup Winners logo last season.

But more importantly, the new FC Barcelona Champions League Jerseys will feature the famous silver badge with the number 5 to mark FC Barcelona's fifth title in the Champions League for the first time in the club history. On the left sleeve is also the UEFA RESPECT logo.

FC Barcelona joins the exclusive club of teams who have won the trophy for at least five times, or three times in a row. Other teams who sport the famous badge are Real Madrid (after their fifth win in 1960), Ajax Amsterdam (after their third consecutive win in 1973), Bayern Munich (after their third consecutive win in 1976), Milan (after their fifth title in 1994) and Liverpool (after their fifth win in 2005).

FC Barcelona is set to debut the new badges in the first match of the 2015-16 UEFA Champions League Group Stage away at Roma, when they will also wear the still unreleased FC Barcelona 15-16 Champions League Away Kit for the first time.
