In late February 2014, Adidas revealed the first-ever knitted football boot, the Adidas Samba Primeknit Football Boots. Limited to 150 pairs globally, the Adidas Primeknit Samba Cleats were exclusively worn by Luis Suarez.

In July 2014, the world's first knitted football boot was released in a classy Black and White Colorway, inspired by the remarkable design of the Adidas Battle Pack 2014 World Cup Boots. Then things went quite, and Adidas didn't release any further colorways for the first-generation Adidas Primeknit.

This is the green Adidas Primeknit Prototype Boot.

Featuring the same color scheme as the Solar Green Adidas F50 Adizero Boots, which were revealed in early April 2014, the Solar Green Adidas Primeknit 1.0 Boots combine different shades of green with white applications to create a stunning design.

It's almost certain that Adidas originally planned to launch the Solar Green Adidas Primeknit Boot in late March 2014 / early April 2014. But then everything turned out differently...

On 20 April 2014, Adidas launched the second-generation of the Adidas Primeknit Boots to make a bold statement. And while the first generation of the Adidas Primeknit Boots was met with skepticism by most customers for its stiff upper, the Adidas Primeknit 2.0 Soccer Boots finally introduced a knitted Adidas boot that was really able to compete with the Nike Magista Obra and Nike Mercurial Superfly.

Limited to 10,000 pairs globally, the Adidas Primeknit 2.0 Cleats are designed to be the best fitting boot in the world with a high techfit collar and a super soft upper. In fact, the Adidas Primeknit 2.0 Boots offer almost the same features as the yet-to-be-released Adidas Ace and Adidas X Primeknit boots.
