All-New Next-Gen Nike Mercurial Superfly 2016-2017 Junior Boots Leaked | But Is It Really a Superfly?

Nike is set to reveal the first-ever junior version of the Nike Mercurial Superfly Boots with the launch of the next generation of the cutting-edge speed boots in Summer 2016.

This is the launch colorway of the Nike Mercurial Superfly 2016-2017 Junior Boot.

The next-gen Nike Mercurial Superfly is designed to make a bold statement on the pitch. The launch colorway of the next-gen Nike Mercurial Superfly Junior Boot boasts a striking red and black color gradient with black speed ribs and eye-catching Volt applications. It's exactly the same design that's also used for the Men's version of the Nike Mercurial Superfly Boots.

While the design is the same, the next-gen Nike Mercurial Superfly 2016-2017 Junior Boot is very interesting from a tech point of view. Even though the boot is officially called Nike Jr. Mercurial Superfly, the cleat in fact just comes with the same tech features as the lower-tier model of the high-cut Nike Mercurial 2016-2017 Boot, the Nike Mercurial Veloce DF.

The next-gen Nike Mercurial Superfly Kids Boots do not feature Nike's cutting-edge Flywire technology but just a print to mirror the look of the strings. The first-ever Nike Mercurial Superfly Kids version also features a slightly thicker upper and is not made from Nike's knitted Flyknit.

However, whereas the upper comes with very different features, the kids version of the Nike Mercurial Superfly Boot is at least expected to feature the same sole plate as the 'real' Nike Mercurial Superfly 2016-17 Boot.

Set to be launched ahead of the Euro 2016 in France, the next-gen Nike Mercurial Superfly Kids version will retail at a slightly higher price than the kids version of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom (~155 USD, ~155 Euro, ~120 GBP) and will hit stores in July 2016.
