Set to be launched together with the Adidas Manchester United 2016-2017 home shirt, the Manchester United 2016-17 pre-match top is expected to be unveiled in May 2016.

Just like the new Manchester United 2016-17 training shirt, the Manchester United 2016-17 pre-match jersey features the logo of AON instead of Chevrolet, which is visible on the front of the actual Manchester United match shirts.

Made by Adidas and based on the brand's global pre-match shirt template for the new season, the new Manchester United pre-match shirt is predominantly black. Perhaps to be seen as a glimpse into the future of the brand, the Manchester United 16-17 pre-match kit has a very reserved approach in branding; it doesn't feature any Adidas stripes, and the Adidas Performance logo inconspicuously sits on the left sleeve.
