Next-Gen Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 Euro 2016 Boots Released
The next-gen Nike Mercurial Vapor XI football boots introduce a bold look, unveiled today ahead of Euro 2016 and Copa America Centenario. There, the new Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 Spark Brilliance boots will be worn by some of the world's best players such as Dani Alves, Eden Hazard or Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Nike launched the current generation of the Nike Mercurial Vapor, the Nike Mercurial Vapor X, ahead of the 2014 World Cup. As an alternative with a heightened collar, Nike also dropped the next-gen Nike Mercurial Superfly V boots in the same paint job.
Next-Gen Nike Mercurial Vapor XI Euro 2016 - Total Crimson / Volt / Black / Pink Blast
This is the bold Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 boots for Euro 2016 and Copa America Centenario.
Closely following the look of the next-gen Nike Mercurial Superfly V soccer cleats, the next-gen Nike Mercurial Vapor 2016 boots are predominantly red (Total Crimson), fading to black at the rear. The sockliner, one-piece tongue and the laces of the 11th-generation Nike Mercurial Vapor football boots are also colored in black.
The other visual element of the next-gen Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 Euro and Copa America 2016 soccer boots are the uber-bold Volt elements, such as the lateral Swoosh, the sole plate and all other Nike brandings. To highlight the all-new speed rib texture, black and pink (Pink Blast) lines run along the top of the Nike Mercurial Vapor XI Spark Brilliance 2016 cleats.
Made for ultimate ball control at high speed and impeccable traction, the red and black Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 football boots introduce the all-new speed rib structure on the upper. Designed to be the new trademark element of the Nike Mercurial silo, the speed ribs are placed on the upper of the next-gen Nike Mercurial Vapor 11, as well as the new Nike Mercurial Superfly V cleats. They work towards improving lockdown and touch on the new red and yellow Nike Mercurial Vapor XI 2016 boots.
Other than that, the Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 Euro 2016 boots largely echo the look of their predecessors, including both the unique one-piece upper construction and a similar, ultra-thin Teijin microfiber upper. The upper of the next-gen Nike Mercurial Vapor football boots again features Nike's ACC (All Conditions Control) technology.
The next-gen Nike Mercurial Vapor 2016 boots also come with a totally new outsole design. While the positioning of the studs is almost exactly the same as the one of the previous generation, the new Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 Spark Brilliance soccer cleats come with cleats that feature a remarkable triangular shape, designed for ultimate speed on firm ground surfaces.
Set to be available from May 28, the striking next-gen Spark Brilliance Nike Mercurial Vapor XI football boots retail at 200 Euro (200 USD, 160 GBP), a similar price as the current-gen Nike Mercurial Vapor X boots.

Adidas Authentic Kit Badge Features Hidden UV Print
A detail on Adidas Authentic kit has drawn attention after being shared by @albxrnxz. The patch labeled "Authentic" reveals additional text when viewed under ultraviolet light. This applies to national team shirts, including those from the Argentina selección, and other recent Adidas kits. The feature serves as an extra verification step beyond standard tags and labels.
The observation highlights how Adidas incorporates advanced elements into its player versions and Authentic products. A heat-applied label combined with UV printing acts as a seal of authenticity, as noted on official product pages for items like the Argentina 2026 jerseys. This helps distinguish genuine merchandise from replicas.
The measure fits into Adidas' updates for the 2026 World Cup collection. Similar hidden UV prints appear in logos and badges across Authentic kits to address counterfeiting concerns. Fans can use a basic UV light to check their jerseys, adding a practical layer for collectors and buyers.
