Pure Platinum Next-Gen Nike Magista Obra II 2016-17 Elite Pack Boots Released
For the third paint job of the next-gen Nike Magista Obra II boots, Nike prepared an interesting design that combines a grey base with turquoise and yellow details. The Pure Platinum Nike Magista Obra 2 soccer cleats were revealed today as part of Nike's new Elite Pack and will be available from 16 August 2016.
The likes of Mario Götze, Blaise Matuidi and David Luiz will don the Pure Platinum Nike Magista Obra 2 football boots from the start of the 2016-17 season. For those who prefer a traditionally shaped sockliner, Nike also unveiled a next-gen Nike Magista Opus boot in the same color; it will be worn by the likes of Sergio Busquets and Andrés Iniesta.

This image shows the striking next-gen Nike Magista Obra II soccer boots.
Predominantly light grey, the third next-gen Nike Magista Obra II colorway boasts a remarkable gradient on each side of the foot, highlighting the completely new grip texture. Positioned in key areas, the differently sized dots are designed to passing, shooting and the first touch.
Both Swooshes on the Pure Platinum Nike Magista Obra 2 soccer cleats, one placed on the medial rear and one on the outside, are black with a Ghost Green outline, while the collar, tongue and laces are dark grey.
Albeit similarly shaped as the first-generation Nike Magista Obra soccer boot, the Pure Platinum Nike Magista Obra II brings the all-new grip texture mentioned earlier. Other than that, the new Nike Magista Obra 2 soccer boots combine a heightened collar with a knitted Flyknit upper for a sock-like fit. The new Nike Magista Obra II cleats also include a thin layer of NikeSkin on top of the knitted structure to optimize performance under all conditions.
The external heel counter known from the previous generation was removed, with the Nike Magista Obra II 2016-2017 boots featuring an internal solution instead. The sole plate of the Nike Magista Obra 2 football cleats, identical to that of the Nike Magista Opus II, introduces a new stud layout which sees a number of bladed studs added to the mix.
The Pure Platinum Nike Magista Obra II boots are set to be available from 16 August 2016. The new Pure Platinum & Ghost Green Nike Magista Obra II football boots retail at $300 (€300).
