Pure Platinum Nike Mercurial Superfly V 2016-17 Elite Pack Boots Released

Following the striking Euro 2016 launch colorway and the understated black-and-pink Nike Mercurial Superfly V, Nike today release a third paint job for the Mercurial Superfly V soccer cleats as part of the Elite Pack. Set to be available from August 16, the silver Nike Mercurial paint job combines a toned down base with garish trim.

Nike Mercurial Superfly V - Pure Platinum / Black / Ghost Green

This is the third Nike Mercurial Superfly V football boot colorway.

Featuring Pure Platinum as main color, the grey next-gen Nike Mercurial Superfly 5 soccer boots fade from light at the front towards a darker shade of grey at the rear through an elaborate knitting pattern. The heightened Dynamic Fit collar and the laces of the new Nike Mercurial Superfly V 2016 cleats are colored in dark grey as well.

This almost dull base of the grey Nike Mercurial Superfly V football boots is combined with contrasting black and garish green accents. The latter color, officially called Ghost Green, is used for the Mercurial logo, the Swoosh outline and the sole plate of the Platinum Nike Mercurial Superfly 2016-2017 soccer cleat. Once again, the trademark 'speed ribs' of the Nike Mercurial Superfly are highlighted through extensive use of color, in this case grey and garish yellow.

Like their predecessor, the Nike Mercurial Superfly 2016-2017 soccer boots aim to provide a sock-like fit with a knitted upper and heightened collar. The aforementioned speed-rib texture is worked into the Flyknit upper of the grey Nike Mercurial Superfly V 2016-2017 boots to improve ball control and touch in critical areas.

Additionally, the sole plate of the Nike Mercurial Superfly V boots has been completely worked; it even is 40% lighter thanks to the use of Nylon instead of carbon-fiber. Last but not least, the sole plate of the Pure Platinum Nike Mercurial Superfly V cleats features studs which all have the same shape but are positioned in different directions.
