Gaël Clichy Debuts Outstanding Nike Boot Combo

Update: Manchester City's Gaël Clichy has debuted his new one-of-a-kind boot combination in today's clash against Everton. While he already stood out last season wearing two different evoSPEED boots (synthetic evoSPEED and leather evoSPEED - see original article below), he this time even used two different boot silos for each foot (right: Nike Magista Obra - regular choice this season, left: Nike Tiempo Legend). Interestingly, he again combines a synthetic boot with a leather boot with his new combination, just as last season.

Former France international Gaël Clichy laced up in a one-of-a-kind boot combination in Man City's last few training sessions. Let's take a closer look at the two different boots worn by the Man City defender ahead of the start of the new season.

Gaël Clichy uses the brand-new white and red Puma evoSPEED 1.5 boot for his right foot, while he uses the leather version of the Safety Yellow last-gen Puma evoSPEED 1.4 boot for his left foot. It's a boot combo that stands out on every pitch.

However, it can't be perfect to wear two different boots with a different construction. In fact, Gaël Clichy used this odd combo just in training yet, while he laced up in a standard boot combo in Manchester City's pre-season friendly against German side Bayern München on Thursday.
