Update: Even tough Nike has not announced anything officially et, it seems certain that the Bayern Munich striker is the new Nike Hypervenom cover star as he is now also featured as cover athlete of the agility silo in Nike stores globally. With Neymar's switch to Nike's Mercurial boot official since Friday, it was expected that Nike would soon present a new main face of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom soccer boot. And while we do not expect an official reveal of the new main face of the soccer cleat before the launch of the third-generation Hypervenom in early 2017, Nike's website already reveals who becomes the new Nike Hypervenom face.
Lewandowski to Become New Nike Hypervenom Phantom Face
It is almost certain that Lewandowski will become the new cover athlete of the Nike Hypervenom.
A look on Nike's dedicated website for the Hypervenom reveals that Lewandowski is the new cover athlete. Whereas Nike's previous Hypervenom page displayed FC Barcelona's Neymar, the updated site shows Lewandowski. Interestingly, the US website still features the text that Neymar would be the Hypervenom cover athlete, while the page already shoes Lewandowski in the background.
Robert Lewandowski is likely the best player wearing the Nike Hypervenom boot featuring the Dynamic Fit collar, and we think that he is anything but a poor replacement.
