New Details Revealed: Lionel Messi Signs Lifetime Adidas Contract
Update: Spanish radio station Cope revealed that the Argentinian superstar signed a life-time contract with Adidas, which will bind Messi to Adidas until the end of his career. It is not known yet if the new contract also means that Messi will be an Adidas ambassador after his career ends.
Leo Messi is set to wear Adidas football boots for the rest of his career as the Barcelona forward just announced that he signed a new contract with Adidas. Lionel Messi joined Adidas in 2006 after he previously laced up in Nike football boots.
Lionel Messi Extends Adidas Contract
Lionel Messi announced his partnership on Facebook with the following photo.
Leo Messi wrote on Facebook that he would be "happy to continue working with adidas for many more years", while no other details of the duration or the vale of the new Messi Adidas deal are known yet.
This is Messi's first big signing in 2017, and now the Argentinian superstar will have to think about penning a new deal with Barcelona as his contract expires in 2018.
