German 3. Liga & DFB Pokal Confirmed For FIFA 18
For the first time ever, the German Cup (DFB Pokal) and third division (3. Liga) will be included in FIFA, it was officially announced today. German fans requested the league to be included in EA Sports FIFA since several years.
German 3. Liga and DFB Pokal To Be Included In FIFA From This Year
Germany's third division, which is not operated by the DFL (1. Bundesliga & 2. Bundesliga) but by the DFB, started with the beginning of the 2008-09 season when it replaced the Regionalliga as the third tier football league in Germany. The 3. Liga has not been included in any FIFA video games so far.
"With the integration of the 3.Liga , we meet one of the greatest wishes of the 'Fifa' community. The passion for the home club is shaping football's culture around the world," says EA manager Björn Vöcking.
EA Sports' new license also makes it possible to play an authentic German Cup and win the real DFB Pokal trophy. The German Cup (DFB Pokal) was previously not licensed.
