2017-18 Ligue 1 Kit Battle - Big Brands Dominate in France
After we already took a look at all jersey makers of the English, German, Italian and Spanish first division, we today analyze which kit brands dominate the French Ligue 1.
2017-2018 Ligue 1 Battle Of Brands
This infographic by @planetafobal shows the kit maker of each club in France.
The biggest clubs in France are sponsored by the big brands - Nike makes the jerseys for AS Monaco & Paris Saint-Germain, Adidas produces the strips for Olympique Marseille & Olympique Lyonnaises, while Puma makes the jerseys for Bordeaux & Stade Rennais.
Apart from the big three, other well-known brands are also represented in the Ligue 1. New Balance makes the jerseys for Lille, Umbro is the official kit supplier of Nantes & Caen, and Macron, Lotto, Hummel and Kappa are also represented in France's first division. There are only two kits made by French sportswear brands (AS Saint-Etienne - Le Coq Sportif, EAG Guingamp - Patrick).
In total, Nike is the brand with the most clubs (4), followed by Adidas (3), Kappa, Umbro and Puma (2 teams respectively).
