Much Better - New Cristiano Ronaldo Bust Revealed
Real Madrid have unveiled a new bust of Cristiano Ronaldo for their museum. The statue, which was created by Spanish sculptor Antonio Navarro Arteaga, looks much better than the infamous one that was unveiled for the newly named Aeroporto Cristiano Ronaldo in his native Madeira Islands in March this year.
Artega is said to have been inspired to create the piece after his son saw the bust in the airport in Madeira and told his father he could do a better job.
Real Madrid Reveals Much Better Cristiano Ronaldo Bust For Club Museum
The bust created by the Spanish artist Antonio Navarro Arteaga has much more resemblance to CR7 than the one created by Emanuel Santos for Madeira's airport.
He told Spanish daily El Mundo he spent less than £45,000 on the bust. "I used several photos of Cristiano to work from. What I wanted to reflect was his interior strength, when he was preparing to take a free kick or a corner."
Ronaldo did not attend the unveiling, but was represented by Madrid legend Emilio Butragueno.
