Compare All Adidas Predator 2018 Boots - Predator 18+ vs Predator 18.1 vs 18.2 vs 18.3 vs 18.4
Adidas this week launched the all-new Predator 2018 football boots. However, the Adidas Predator 18 soccer cleat is actually not an all-new boot but rather the successor of the Adidas Ace, both in terms of tech and models. Let's take a look at the different versions of the Adidas Predator 18 football boots.
Model-wise, there is one big change. While the Adidas Ace 17 soccer boots were available as leather edition (Adidas Ace 17.1 K-Leather), there is no Adidas Predator Kangaroo leather soccer cleat available to buy (Adidas' players still got them from the Three Stripes as we exclusively reported).
Interestingly, the stud configurations of the Adidas Predator 18+, Predator 18.1, Predator 18.2 and Predator 18.3 are identical, saving Adidas likely not only a bit of money and time in development / production and giving you great traction for a remarkable low price. The external heel counter and the materials used for the sole plate are not identical, however.
Adidas Predator 18+
Replacing the Adidas Ace 17+ Purecontrol, the Adidas Predator 18+ is the most modern boot available in the 2018 Adidas Predator range and the first-ever Predator to feature a laceless design. Compared to the Adidas Ace 17+ Purecontrol, the Adidas Predator 18+ also comes with typical Predator rubber elements for even more ball control and swerve.
The laceless Adidas Predator 18+ football boot is also available as Indoor version and Turf Version for small-sided football.
Adidas Predator 18.1
Retailing at €50 less than the laceless Predator 18+ is the Predator 18.1, which offers traditional lacing.
Adidas Predator 18.2
Next up is the Adidas Predator 18.2, which features a Primemesh upper. It retails at €150.
Adidas Predator 18.3
Retailing at €80, the Adidas Predator 18.3 is available for no less than five ground types.
Adidas Predator 18.4
The most cheap and by far the worst boot is the Adidas Predator 18.4 - retailing at €55, it doesn't have a lot in common with the other Predator cleats. Is is the only cleat with a cheap standard sole plate, a standard synthetic upper and a control stitching instead of rubber elements on the upper.
