Just One Difference? Next-Gen Nike Mercurial Superfly 360 vs Vapor 360 2018 Boots

The reveal of the next-generation Nike Mercurial 2018 football boots took place this week. Nike again released two different Nike Mercurial soccer cleats, a Superfly and a Vapor version, that are much more similar than the previous ones.

We compare the next-generation Nike Mercurial Superfly VI 2018 World Cup boots with the next-generation Nike Mercurial Vapor XII 2018 World Cup cleats, revealing that both cleats have much more in common than before.

Nike Mercurial Superfly VI 2018 vs Nike Mercurial Vapor XII 2018

Whereas the current-gen Nike Mercurial Superfly and Vapor boots are totally different apart from the sole plate (Flyknit upper vs Teijin synthetic, sock-like collar vs classic low-cut design), the next-gen Nike Mercurial Superfly & Vapor are almost identical.

The next-gen Nike Mercurial Vapor is the same as the next-gen Superfly apart from the height of the collar

They both have the same, new Nike Flyknit upper and the same sole plate, with the only difference the height of the collar. In fact, the next-gen Nike Mercurial Vapor 12 boots have nothing in common with the current-gen Nike Mercurial Vapor football boot but is in fact just a low-cut version of the next-generation Nike Mercurial Superfly.

What do you think of Nike releasing almost two identical Nike Mercurial football boots? Will you miss the synthetic Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 soccer cleats? Should Nike release a synthetic 'traditional' low-cut Nike Mercurial football boot? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
