EXCLUSIVE: Next-Gen Adidas Nemeziz 2018 World Cup Boots Leaked

Update: Today we bring you a better look at the Adidas Nemeziz World Cup boots, based on the second generation of the agility-focused silo.

Adidas' 2018 World Cup collection will be called the Energy Mode pack. It includes this orange Nemeziz 18, an all-green Nemeziz Messi 18, a yellow Predator 18 and blue X 18 and is set for a release in late May / early June.

This picture shows the next-gen Adidas Nemeziz 18+ World Cup cleat.

Dropping the striped design of the previous generation, the Adidas Nemeziz 2018 World Cup football boots are predominantly 'Zest' (orange) with black 3 Stripes and a subtle zig-zag pattern covering the entire upper. The inside collar of the next-gen Adidas Nemeziz 2018 World Cup soccer cleats is red ('Solar Red'), while the instep of the shoes is all orange bar a few tech brandings.

Again set to be available as laceless (Nemeziz 18+) and laced (Nemeziz 18.1) versions, the Adidas Nemeziz 18 boots are pretty similar to their predecessor, without changing anything major.

The Adidas Nemeziz 2018 World Cup boots still come with the silo's trademark tape-inspired design, with the most obvious difference that the upper is a bit thicker to offer more comfort and better ball control than the first generation. The collar around the ankle is more narrow for better lockdown. The sole plate hasn't undergone any changes at all from Adidas Nemeziz 17 to 18.

With Messi receiving his exclusive colorway, the likes of Roberto Firmino, Jesse Lingard (laceless), Álvaro Morata and Julian Draxler (laced) will be some of the most prominent players to wear them in Russia; if they make their team's final squad that is, of course.
