Closer Look | Gareth Bale's Camouflaged Adidas X Boots
A new picture perfectly shows off that Gareth Bale received modified Adidas X football boots that are totally different to the ones Adidas releases for the general public.
Gareth Bale's Modified Adidas X 17.1 Boots
Close-up picture of Gareth Bale's football boots.
The possibly most obvious difference between Bale's custom boot and the retail edition is the upper structure of the cleats, which is the same as the one of the last-gen Adidas X 16.1 football boots. The second remarkable difference is the tongue and lace construction, which has also less in common with the regular Adidas X 17.1 football boot.
Apart from the upper and other typical personalizations such as his official logo, the boots of Gareth Bale seem to be identical to the retail version.
Bale is not the only player who is wearing modified Adidas X cleats. His teammate Marcelo also received his preferred version of Adidas' chaos boots, and Bayern München's Arjen Robben is also wearing totally custom Adidas X cleats.
