EXCLUSIVE: Nike to Introduce All-New Personalization Options for 2018 World Cup Boot Collection

Update: We have created a few more examples of the all-new Nike personalization options that will be introduced ahead of the 2018 World Cup.

When Nike created a custom pair of Nike Hypervenom cleats to commemorate Inter striker Mauro Icardi reaching 100 goals in Serie A, there was one thing nobody seemed to pick up.

A first for the brand and a way to elevate the already excellent Nike 2018 World Cup soccer cleat collection, all shoes have a slightly adjusted design that leaves a bit of extra space on the heel for an innovative new personalization method. Let's take a look at we've dubbed the 'personalization triangle'.

Nike 2018 World Cup 'Personalization Triangle'

This picture shows the personalization detail on the Mauro Icardi 100 Goals boots.

This never-seen-before personalization feature consists of four elements: a triangle-shaped flag, the silo and brand logos underneath it and finally the player's shirt number and name on the right side.

People will be able to select the Nike personalization detail on their World Cup Elite tier boots, likely with the same country flags that are currently on Nike iD (pictured below).

The Nike flag triangle personalization detail is exclusive to the brand's World Cup collection and will not be available on later colorways, pending a major surprise.
