No More Identical Adidas Kits For 8 Nations - Unique Macron Faroe Islands 2018-19 Home & Away Kits Released

Macron and the Faroe Islands Football Association this week unveiled the new kits of the country as part of the broader agreement between Macron and UEFA, the so called UEFA Kit Assistance Scheme, the UEFA program to assist the smaller European football Associations in providing them with kits and equipment.

The new Macron Faroe Islands jerseys feature bespoke designs, set to be used in the next UEFA Nations League and in the qualifiers for the Euro 2020.

Adidas was previously responsible for UEFA's Kit Assistance Scheme. Whereas Adidas gave all small European national teams that were part of the UEFA program standard kits (Andorra, Armenia, Belarus, Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and San Marino), Macron creates custom jerseys for all countries that are part of the UEFA Top Executive Program.

The new Macron Føroyar home shirt is predominantly white with red-and-blue details. This shirt has plenty of details celebrating the identity and history of the islands: the front features the distinctive cross from the national flag while the back, bottom right, features a reproduction of the archipelago. Another detail is the distinctive back collar with the words, 'Føroyar', the national flag, and the emblem of the team.
