Bellerin, Rojo, Rashford, Sigurdsson & More - Most Important 2018-19 Premier League Shirt Number Switches

With the Premier League kicking off this weekend, you might have noticed that some players changed their shirt numbers. We take a look at the most important kit number changes of the 2018-2019 EPL season.

Marcus Rashford - 19 -> 10 & Marcos Rojo - 5 -> 16

Marcos Rashford becomes Manchester United's new No. 10, while Marcos Rojo has quietly swapped no.5 for no.16 - the number worn on international duty for Argentina.

Hector Bellerin - 24 -> 2

Bellerin has worn No. 40, 39 and 24 for Arsenal so far. Ahead of the season, he became the club’s new No.2.

Mohamed Elneny - 35 -> 4 & Granit Xhaka - 29 -> 34

Arsenal's Mohamed Elneny has been handed the no. 4 jersey for the 2018-19 season, previously worn by Patrick Vieira, Nwankwo Kanu, Cesc Fabregas and Per Mertesacker. Meanwhile, no. 34, previously held by Francis Coquelin, went to to Granit Xhaka.

Morgan Schneiderlin - 2 -> 18

After wearing the unusual number 2 shirt (for a midfielder), Schneiderlin has moved to the No.18. Everton's new No. 2 is Holgate, a 21-year old central defender who previously wore the No. 30 kit.

Gylfi Sigurdsson - 18 -> 10

With Wayne Rooney having left Everton to DC United, Gylfi Sigurdsson took the change to take Everton’s No.10 kit, the same number he is using for the Iceland national team.
