Atlético Madrid 19-20 Home Kit Revealed
Following two rather experimental Atlético shirts released this season and last, the Atlético Madrid 19-20 home shirt returns to a more traditional stripe design. The kit will be available starting tomorrow, 23 May 2019.
The 2019-20 kit could be the last for Atlético to be made by Nike after rumors heavily linked Puma with taking over in 2020.
Atlético Madrid 19-20 Home Kit
This is the Atlético 2019-20 home jersey.
Atlético Madrid's 19-20 home shirt finally returns to normal stripes, after both the 2017-18 and the 2018-19 jerseys boasted heavy graphics and effects. Also a welcome change, the stripes continue on the sleeves of the Atlético 2019-20 home jersey, which once again has a raglan cut.
Compared to the 2016-17 Atlético home jersey, which was the club's last with 'regular' stripes, the red and white stripes on the Atlético Madrid 2019-20 home shirt are thinner. There are four white and five red stripes on the front and lower back.
The back neck tape is navy, which mirrors the colors of the Swoosh and the club crest, with a Spanish flag on the outside. The graphic on the inside neck shows the club's founding year, 1903, and pays homage to the Fountain of Neptune, where the red and whites traditionally celebrate their titles.
The inspiration behind Atletico's 2019-20 home kit is the kit worn when the club won the Europa League in 2010. The tenth anniversary of that trophy will be celebrated next year and it's seen as the one that started the Spanish club's recent trophy haul. Since then Atletico has won nine titles - one LaLiga, three Europa Leagues, one Copa del Rey, three UEFA Super Cups and one Spanish Super Cup.
The shorts of the Atlético Madrid 2019-2020 home kit are blue, and the socks red.
