Originally released in 2014, the Nike Total 90 Laser 4 cleats have a lightweight Teijin synthetic leather upper with a streamlined and flexible design. True to its T90 origins, the inside of the boot features a power zone made of plastic triangles.

As Nike are set to re-release the first generation of the Total 90, van Dijk is the latest of a number of high-profile players to show up to training wearing old boots. The likes of Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos have famously been wearing long-discontinued Adidas designs for several months / years, respectively.

Van Dijk, however, is widely believed to be switching back to his regular Nike Tiempo for Liverpool's next game.
