Here is The Classic Kit That Inspired ALL 3 Of Next Season's Nike Chelsea Kits
The new Nike Chelsea 2019-20 home and away jerseys got leaked a few days ago. Both kits introduce bespoke looks for the North London club that take have similarities to a classic Chelsea jersey - the Chelsea 1991-1993 home jersey by Umbro.
Umbro Chelsea 91-93 Home Kit
The Umbro Chelsea 1991-93 is blue, white and red with an all-over graphic pattern that resembles the one of the Nike Chelsea 19-20 home kit. However, while the classic graphic pattern is created using the club's CFC initials and the Double Diamond Umbro logo, the Nike Chelsea 2019-20 kit graphic is inspired by the roof construction of the Stamford Bridge.
The classic Umbro Chelsea jersey has a Polo collar and a unique Umbro branding on the left sleeve. Nike's 2019 interpretation comes with a more modern look.
The away jersey has a very similar collar as the Chelsea 91-93 kit while also featuring the colors white, blue and red.
The Chelsea 19-20 third kit will also draw inspiration from the 1990s Chelsea uniform with a CFC 1990s print on the front. This rounds off the homage from Nike to the classic strip and the 1990s in general.
