Umbro Celebrates 95-Years Anniversary With Special Exhibition Featuring 95 Iconic Kits

Iconic brand Umbro celebrates its 95th anniversary this year. For that occasion, Umbro has teamed up with quarterly football lifestyle magazine MUNDIAL and retailer Classic Football Shirts for a special exhibition in Manchester.

Umbro is an English sportswear and football equipment supplier based in Cheadle, next to Manchester. In 2007, Umbro bought by Nike in a deal worth GB£285 million. Since 2012, the company has been a subsidiary of American company Iconix Brand Group.

Umbro '95' Exhibiton

Called ‘95, the new Umbro exhibition celebrates the influence of Umbro in football by displaying 95 of the brand's most iconic shirts while telling the story of the Double Diamond brand.

The exhibition features a lot of rare archive jerseys and jackets, alongside photos and the stories behind some favorite Umbro shirts, old brochures and adverts.

The Umbro ‘95’ exhibition is free to enter and will run from Monday 8th of April to Sunday 14th April at 23a Princess Street, Manchester, M2 4EN.

For that occasion, Umbro and local illustrator Tom Nicklin also created a huge mural to celebrate Manchester's love of football.
