Stadio San Paolo Witnesses Complete Overhaul
Often referred to as a 'toilet', Napoli's stadium did not enjoy the best reputation. However, the club battled it out with the city council to get the progress up and running.
Accordingly, Napoli was able to present a revamped Stadio San Paolo during the opening ceremony of the Universiade, where university athletes fight for glory in an international multi-sport event. This event was also the reason for SSC Napoli to even be granted the refurbishment work.

As for the improvements made, giant screens were added to aid visibility and a new lighting system was installed.
However, the major change is about the seats which have been replaced to shine in SSC Napoli's colors, while the stadium had generic orange seats the years before. Now, they feature shades of blue and white to replicate the waves of the sea in the Bay of Naples.
