On August 9 2019, Inter Milan announced that new signing Romelu Lukaku will get the club's shirt number 9, which was actually occupied by Mauro Icardi. Now reports from Italy say that Mauro Icardi has reportedly chosen Inter’s No 7 shirt as he is now thinking of staying at the club.
The Argentine has been left out of first-team training for the past month. Icardi has already threatened legal action if he is not brought back to the first team.
Sport Mediaset claims he asked for the club’s No 7 jersey - as a sign of his intention to be reintegrated - and had his request accepted.
It comes despite the number being preferred by Alexis Sanchez, who is set to sign from Manchester United.

A viral post by X user @Free_y_thinker highlighted the issue, sharing a screenshot of the chatbot recommending a fake jersey as a better and cheaper alternative to the official kits. The post quickly gained massive traction with nearly a million views, prompting other users to share their own bizarre interactions with the shop.rfef.es AI, which included further recommendations for fakes, specific unauthorized sellers, and even seemingly random Python code. This incident highlights the potential pitfalls of implementing AI customer service without strict guardrails.
