Virgil van Dijk has gained the praise of football fans on social media wearing all-red socks in Liverpool's 3-1 victory against Arsenal FC on Saturday. We take a closer look at them.

Virgil van Dijk was not wearing the standard two-colored socks but an all-red version of it - he did not cut them off to use his own socks but seems to have received a modified all-red version by New Balance.
A closer look at his boots reveals that Virgil van Dijk is wearing heavily modified Nike Tiempo Legend VIII football boots with a very smooth upper and a different tongue construction.

However, when playing with the Liverpool 2019-20 third kit, Virgil van Dijk wore the standard two-color block socks.
