Is This Allowed? Ronaldo Wears Nike Shirt With Adidas 3 Stripes
Some of you noticed something peculiar about a recent Instagram post from Cristiano Ronaldo. In it, he seems to be wearing a NIKE shirt with the Adidas 3 Stripes on the sleeves.
Turns out, Ronaldo has not started to shop on AliExpress or Wish. Instead, it's an official product by Nike that's available in multiple colorways..
And if we look closely, the 'three stripes' are not the ones registered by Adidas - the middle one is wider and the distance between them is very small.
Another interesting fact is that Nike appears to have updated the design of the shirt and that Ronaldo is wearing an early sample. Whereas the stripes are all black on the shirt worn by CR7, current pictures from Nike show a variant with the outer two stripes colored in red. Maybe it was too similar to Adidas after all?
