Video: Why & How To Cut Hole In Football Boot
The video is made to solve a myth about holes in football boots in the heel area which was initiated by Philippe Coutinho. The maker of the video had problems with his boots in the heel area and tried to solve them - his video is a solution of how you can do it yourself if experiencing similar problems.
"I had a huge pain in his heel bones so he decided to explore a little bit. I came to the conclusion that I have Haglund’s deformity/heel (Google it for more info). All football boots that were available were too stiff for me in the heel counter and I always suffered from pain. Size UK10 was always too big for me and size UK9.5 was too small for me. I don’t want to wear UK10 because I always get unnecessary blisters on my thumbs while changing direction and my shoot is not effective. With the size UK9.5 and the holes in the heel counter, my feet and heel bones fit perfectly inside. If you have the same problem, feel free to do this. I know it’s painful to cut a brand new boots but you’ll save yourself from the stupidest pain."
Of course, you have to keep in mind that if you do this to your boots you will lose warranty.
