Some week ago, we reported about the New Zealand 2019 Rugby World Cup kits that were designed by no one else than famous Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto. Now we becmae aware of a Predator rugby boot that has been also crafted by Yamamoto, called the Adidas Y-3 Predator.
The reason why we came across them is that the Adidas Predator 20 got revealed recently in Juventus and Real Zaragoza training. The Adidas Y-3 Predator rugby boots have an aesthetic that they reminded some of the next-gen Adidas Predator 20 football boot. But see yourself...
Designed By Yohji Yamamoto - Adidas Y-3 Predator Boots
Designed by Yohji Yamamoto, the Adidas Y-3 Predator Boots are "crafted for players who want to win in style". They have a minimalist silhouette with a knit textile and leather upper. Soft synthetic vamp with rubber pads adds pinpoint accuracy with the ball.
While the boot as a whole looks totally different to the Adidas Predator 20, the rubber pads in thee forefoot to add pinpoint accuracy with the ball are at least a bit similar to the next-generation Adidas Predator upper in the front area.
The outsole of the boots is less interesting. It is the standard lightweight Predator Rugby outsole for explosive power on wet natural grass
In fact, the upper more reminds of Adidas boots worn by Mesut Özil in April 2014. These Adidas cleats from 2014 that were worn by Özil turned out to be prototypes of the Adidas Ace soccer cleats that were never released.

Liga Portugal 2 side FC Vizela has officially launched its new away kit for the 26-27 campaign, manufactured by Kappa.
