Designed by Yohji Yamamoto, the Adidas Y-3 Predator Boots are "crafted for players who want to win in style". They have a minimalist silhouette with a knit textile and leather upper. Soft synthetic vamp with rubber pads adds pinpoint accuracy with the ball.

While the boot as a whole looks totally different to the Adidas Predator 20, the rubber pads in thee forefoot to add pinpoint accuracy with the ball are at least a bit similar to the next-generation Adidas Predator upper in the front area.

The outsole of the boots is less interesting. It is the standard lightweight Predator Rugby outsole for explosive power on wet natural grass

In fact, the upper more reminds of Adidas boots worn by Mesut Özil in April 2014. These Adidas cleats from 2014 that were worn by Özil turned out to be prototypes of the Adidas Ace soccer cleats that were never released.
