Chicago Fire 2020 Home & Away Kits Leaked?! Featuring All-New Football Club Logo

Update: We have received new information about the two Chicago Fire Football Club kits that got leaked some time ago. It is possible that both designs are real, but for 2021 (Adidas' final kits will look a bit different, however, that is for sure). It is also possible but unlikely that one of those kits will be for 2020 - stay tuned for more.

Chicago Fire 2021 Jerseys? Design Suggestion For Adidas By Club / Design Agency?

Shortly after the initial leak and just before the brand-new Chicago Fire Football Club logo was revealed today, the MLS club's new home and away kits got allegedly leaked, first appearing on the @FireRumors Twitter account.

But are they even real? Let's first take a look at the two designs.

Chicago Fire 2020-2021 Home Jersey

Check out the Chicago Fire 2020 home shirt below.

The new Chicago Fire home football shirt is blue with the new crest appearing on the left chest. The red-yellow color scheme of the logo flames is mirrored by the sleeve cuffs, while the Adidas logo and stripes are red.

Chicago Fire 2020 Away Shirt

This is the Chicago Fire 2020-2021 away shirt.

White is used for Chicago Fire's 2020 away shirt, which features the new logo in a monochrome variation that's very close to the one that appeared in the trademark filing.

However, there are a number of things that make us believe that these kits are not the real deal.

First, we have access to an official Adidas catalog that states that the Chicago Fire 2020 home kit is scarlet, i.e. red - totally different from the one that got leaked today.

Second, 2021 is written inside the Adidas authenticity tag on the right above the hem. It should be 2020 for next season's kits. This authenticity tag was phased out by Adidas for the 2020 national team kits - it's unlikely that MLS will continue to use the outdated Climachill kit tech.

Schlotterbeck Deliberately Wears His Football Socks the Wrong Way Round

Borussia Dortmund and Germany defender Nico Schlotterbeck has a very specific habit regarding his matchday attire. The centre-back deliberately wears his football socks the wrong way round - the back is on the front, and the front is on the back.

In 2025, the Borussia Dortmund & Germany center back once told SPORT1 that this was one of his unique habits.
