Puma To Sign Short-Term Deal To Produce Newcastle 2020-2021 Jerseys - Nike Not Interested

There is an increasing feeling in the sportswear industry that Puma will sign a short-term extension to produce Newcastle United kits for another season.

The lack of a new Newcastle kit among wholesalers had led to speculation another brand would be onboard next season but industry insiders now believe the lead up time to take on a new client is getting too tight. And Puma would be happy to retain United for another year after reporting good sales over the last two seasons.

One possibility that can be discounted is Nike taking on the deal. A representative for the company has confirmed they have not held any talks with Newcastle.

Newcastle 2020-2021 Jerseys To Be Not Made By Puma

The Newcastle United 2019-2020 kits could be the last made by Puma for a long time.

Puma does not offer any Newcastle products for the 2020-21 season, which means that the club will get a new supplier almost certainly. It is not known which brand will make Newcastle United's jerseys from the 2020-21 season.

In fact, in August 2019, Newcastle Chronicle reported that German sportswear brand Puma are interested in extending their decade-long association with Newcastle United but would have to undertake a club record deal with the English Premier League club in order to extend their partnership. Now it seems like that both partied could not agree on a deal.

The NUFC 2020-2021 jerseys by their new kit maker will be revealed not before July 1 2020 as the Puma deal runs until 30 June 2020.
