Just days after Nike and Liverpool FC kicked off their partnership, the club's manager Jürgen Klopp has reportedly signed a deal with Nike's main rivals - Adidas.
Adidas To Announce Jürgen Klopp As Ambassador "Imminently"
According to a report from The Telegraph, Just Klopp has signed a "lucrative deal " with Adidas. The Adidas deal will see the manager, when the 20-21 season commences, wearing Nike apparel but Adidas trainers.
When Liverpool FC was sponsored by New Balance, Klopp was also a brand ambassador of New Balance. He wore various special New Balance Liverpool sneakers and even received a "signature" Liverpool manager collection.
Currently, Jose Mourinho is the only other manager who has a different personal deal to his club’s. Mourinho is sponsored by Adidas but managing Nike-sponsored Tottenham.
According to the Telegraph, Klopp has already signed off the personal agreement with Adidas - "Adidas are expected to make an announcement soon about Klopp".
