On Pitch: Insane Manchester United 20-21 Third Kit
Updated with a proper, hiqh-quality look at Man Utd's new 2020-21 third jersey during action. Big thanks to the excellent @KitCrimes for the pictures.
Manchester United has debuted their new Adidas 2020-21 third kit in tonight's friendly versus Aston Villa. This friendly was played behind closed doors and later re-streamed on MUTV, the Red Devils' premium subscription service, which is also the reason for a lack of images. It is Manchester United's only 2020/21 pre-season game.
Manchester United 2020-2021 Third Kit
Already turning heads before tonight's kick-off, the Adidas Manchester United 2020-21 third jersey lived up to previous promises by delivering an unprecedented appearance on the pitch unlike any other before. Even from afar when Manchester United's players entered the pitch, its 'Dazzle Camo' all-over print resulted in a shocking look.
Tonight's friendly of the Red Devils did not go their way as they lost by a single goal. Ollie Watkins, a Championship regular for Brentford up until this point and Aston Villa's record signing, scored the only goal of the night with a header in the 16th minute, according to Manchester Evening News. Check out their 'live' coverage for a retrospective coverage of the pre-season friendly.
Interestingly, Manchester United decided to pair their new third shirt with black shorts and socks resulting in a rather tidy appearance. We previously already reported that the squad will not be using the truly mind-boggling fitting shorts and socks.
Did the new Manchester United third uniform grow on you yet? Do you prefer black or white shorts & socks in combination with the 'dazzle camo' all-over print? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
